Today's episode of "Don't Be That Guy" comes to us from a guy who threw stones...from a glass house.
Our example today is a fellow in a KV-85. We're not going to name him, because this series isn't about shaming individuals, but about pointing out how we can be better. During the countdown and initial deployment he joined in the early game chatter by complaining about how we had too many "noobs". This seemed ironic to me coming from a guy with only 6K battles on his account, and I jokingly pointed that out.
So his first offense: Being kind of a jerk to your team at the outset and complaining about the "noobs" especially when to all appearances you are, yourself, rather a noob.
That should have been the end of it, but our friend in the KV-85 immediately got defensive and insisted that I look up his "other account", which he repeatedly gave me the username of. I politely declined, but he spent the rest of the battle insistently typing in chat that I needed to go look up his other account.
So I checked his current account stats and discovered that he's a 45% player. No great sin in that, we were all probably 45% players at some point, in fact when I only had ~6K games my win rate was certainly below 50%.
But he's claiming this is a "re-roll" account.
I've never seen a re-roll account, from a good player, with a 45% win rate after 6K battles. The point of a re-roll is to have BETTER stats. If this is better stats, then he's really just not a good player.
Again, it's o.k. to not be a good player. But maybe he's not a good player because he complains about the "noobs" on his team at the outset, then spends the entire battle being argumentative in chat, instead of worrying about handling the battle. Checking his post-game stats he only took 4 shots the entire battle. Hard to shoot when you're angrily typing.
Don't be that guy.
The lesson: Don't criticize your team before they've even had a chance to play. And definitely don't waste time during the battle arguing in chat. That's how you get killed after firing only 4 shots.
GLHF!

A re-roll account is when a player, usually an experienced one, starts up a brand new account. Usually because they want better overall stats.
I've never seen a re-roll account, from a good player, with a 45% win rate after 6K battles. The point of a re-roll is to have BETTER stats. If this is better stats, then he's really just not a good player.
