Serene Coast
When I load into Serene Coast, especially in a MT, I always look to see how many arty the enemy has. If it's less than three then I'm almost certainly pushing to C1. The one challenge at C1, especially from North spawn, is that you need to have shooters behind you. Otherwise the enemy will just push into you and kill you after you get your 3 shots of damage. It's hard to escape from C1 from either spawn, so if you go there, you're usually pretty committed.
Also C1 plays best for tanks with good gun depression and turret armor. I've seen Cent 5/1s have epic games at that spot.
So just make sure before you push to C1 that you have enough support. Otherwise you might want to hold up at B3 or G2 and prepare to defend/fall back.
Live Oaks
On Live Oaks winning the "Rails" in the South is widely considered imporatnt, but I think it's more important for the Northeast spawn than the Southwest spawn. A good team can defend the NE cap from the A line, and the C line.
In fact I just had a game where my team won the rails comfortably, then all died in C9/C0. Meanwhile the enemy won city and was able to crossfire those of us who were left, once their C line defenders finished off our guys at C9 and could turn and get shots on our E3/F4 guys.
If you win the rails, make sure the C6 area is clear before you venture too far off the zero line.
Cliff Encounter
All of that is a bit out the window if there are three arty, though. Then the south spawn is challenging, You probably still have to play around there, but you're probably going to get clicked to death from the A line.
