Snapshot: A few days with Czech heavies...

So...here's some quick thoughts after about 3 days playing the Czech heavies...

The Skoda T 56 in World of Tanks

The Tier 7 is...meh but playable

The Tier 7 has a decent gun and can be playable...but it's very slow. It's fine tier for tier...but like a lot of heavies you're going to face a lot of Tier 8/9 tanks and you'll struggle to compete with them.

The Tier 8 is...frustrating

My first day with the TNH was fun. The auto-loader performed well, the tank shifts around the yard OK for a HT (and much better than its little brother, and the armor is trollish.

Since then, reality has set in. The gun handling is often awful. Fully aimed shots just sail, shots that do hit don't pen (even on targets were 224mm should be sufficient), and the armor is unreliable.

Every few games RNG smiles and I get a 2.5K+ damage game, like the first day. But more often than not I finish the game with barely 1K damage, and shaking my head at yet another game where I fired 14 shots, hit 7, penned 3.

...and to top of it off...

The Premium is way better than the tech tree...

The Skoda T 56 - their 8 premium Czech HT - is much better than the TNH 105. The armor seems more reliable, the gun seems more effective. Despite worse stats in almost every way (except alpha) the T 56 just totally outclasses the TNH on the battlefield.
