AutoLoader: Frustration, Seal-Clubbing, and Field Modifications

Back into a frustrating streak where my teams are absolute kaku and matchmaking isn't doing me any favors.

"5-15 Simulator"

That's what Skill calls it anyhow. And I seem to be in it. Last two days, I've had a total of two wins, and almost every game is 5-15 or worse. Had maybe two close games.

I've talked about why I think that's happening so much (Snap Shot: New kids in the tank? (wotguy.blogspot.com)) and I doubt it will change any time soon.

This guy was hiding on the red line in his Standard B recently:

New players in World of Tanks

It's a game, he can play the Standard B if he wants to. But clearly he's not ready for it, and as I've suggested before I think one reason the battles seem more lopsided these days is that thanks to Blueprints and other events the "grinds" have gotten kinda trivial. It's not that hard for somebody to be in Tier IX/X within  a relatively short amount of time.

And when Matchmaker inadvertently loads one team up with noobs and the other team with experienced players (especially in the top tier tanks) the games are going to get lopsided in a hurry. Some of the experienced players are basically seal-clubbing at Tier X now.

And if your top tanks are all being driven by seals...well, your team is going to lose quick and quiet.

Greens vs Oranges

I was going to add that part of the problem is that it seems like the other teams are always full of green players and my teams are always full or orange players. But a couple of battles ago on Minsk *MY* team was mostly Green, and theirs was mostly Orange. And we still lost. At least it was 8-15 instead of 4-15, I guess.

Field Modifications

Just starting to use the Field Modifications a bit. Never sure which of the two options to pick - but Skill's YouTube index includes some guidance that is helping me make some decisions. Of course I'm also slow-playing it a bit because I'm trying to grind credits and the field modifications cost credits...

GLHF!
