A few random World of Tanks thoughts
I hate Mountain Pass South Spawn
Oooh, so soon after Valentine's Day and I start off with something I hate...
Especially in a slow tank I hate getting south spawn in Mountain Pass. It's hard to go to the SW corner without getting wrecked crossing H5 - you're basically just playing dodgeball on that crossing if the enemy team is any good. And I'm not a fan of playing ice road. The bridge is ok, but it's too easy for an enemy at C4 to lock you down
Too often I end up playing sort of G6, working around the rocks, guarding the bridge, shooting at oncoming forces from the SW...and eventually retreating up to the J8 or J0 hills for a "last stand" and farming some damage before we lose.
North spawn seems to have a lot more options for how to play it.
Trading Caravan rolls on past
These last few days have been the Trading Caravan and here are my thoughts...
- I'm not paying 75,000 credits just to spin the slot machine and hope I get something good. From what I'm hearing people are spinning 15-20 times and still only occasionally getting what they want.
- There are really only two things available I kind of want anyhow - The Kirovets and the T-22.
- The Kirovets is apparently going for 15M credits. I don't have that at the moment, but I guess I could sell some stuff, maybe even a tank or two, and raise it. Doesn't matter because apparently it's sold out.
- The T-22 is apparently 25K bonds. I only have about 17K right now and there isn't any way for me to get 8K bonds in the next day or two, even if I got offered a T-22.
- Not interested in paying 1.5M credits for a rental tank. We get lots of rental tanks from weekly codes, or events already.
- Don't really need to buy 2D styles or a bunch of directives for gold.
So far, I haven't met anybody who really liked the Trading Caravan. I see a few Kirovets (and one or two T-22s) in battle, so that's cool, but otherwise...
Maybe the T-22 will show up in the Bond Shop one of these days, then I can grind bonds for it.
GLHF!
