Autoloader: Tier 6, Tiger 131, and the Pawlack

You see the darndest things at Tier 6 in World of Tanks sometimes. Like this morning I had a game on Mines from the South spawn. Not a single person of our team went middle or challenged hill. A couple went to the 1 line, 1/3 came with me to the 9 line and the other 1/2 camped base. Other team pushed about 5 tanks, unchallenged, onto the hill.

3 arty battle, experience says we should lose bad.

We won 15-3.

Ensk

Earlier in an Ensk game, our team let an AT8 basically drive right down the middle of the map and flank our town heavies, entirely unchallenged. Hard to imagine getting away with that play at Tier 8, but here we are at 6 and...well.

I can't be mad about it. Tier 4-6 is where the noobs should be to learn the game. They're in the right place and hopefully they learned.

Airfield

In my KV-2 on Airfield, it's a 3-arty game so in a heavy tank that means I'm going to go south and play J line. It's pretty much the only place you can play a heavy on that map in a 3 arty game and not get shat on by arty the whole time - especially from West spawn.

The game is fairly close - we lost 12-15 - and much to my surprise even though enemy didn't send much to the South I still managed to finish 3rd by XP. Go figure. The big boomstick of the KV-2 is still kinda fun, even after the HE nerf.

The KV-2

The Pawlack

Grinding Tier 6 HTs for Battle Pass points and because it's the #ShowdownSaturday tank this week. Finished the ARL 44, which is pretty good though the armor isn't much, and started in on the Pawlack. I like the mobility on the Pawlack but standard pen is pretty poor. I must have given out a pair of Steel Wall medals in one game just bouncing shot after shot off a T-34-85M and another Pawlack - even when the pen indicator was green.

Tiger 131

My secondary tank (for when I die in the Pawlack and want to jump into the next battle) is Tiger 131. Nicely balanced at tier 6, excellent gun, mobility isn't awful (for a HT) and the armor sometimes holds up.

Even though the standard pen is nominally only 8mm better than the Pawlack I seem to have better luck with it so far this week.

It also has the benefit of being a premium, so I make a few more credits in it and get some crew training for my E 75 crew.

GLHF!
