As you probably know, each month World of Tanks has two Tier X tanks they put on "On Track" (For our EU friends it's called "Top of the Tree"). Basically it's an event where there are bonuses and rewards for grinding to these tier X tanks. Also all the tanks in that line are on sale - usually 15%-30% off the credit cost to purchase the tank.
The bonuses are mostly extra XP and extra crew XP for hitting certain milestones. These events can certainly speed up your grind to Tier X, but what if you already have the Tier X tank that is On Track?
Lately I seem to face this all the time. It's been months since I've seen a tank On Track that I didn't already have. So does that mean I don't participate?
Quite the opposite!
For your second win of the day in any tank of the On Track line you get a x5 XP bonus. And that can be VERY handy if you're grinding field modifications or crew skills.
Right now the 60TP and the AMX 13 105 are both On Track. I have both lines already, but I'm playing the 53TP and 45TP each morning to get 2 wins in each, and the BC-12T and AMX 13 75 the same. Between the On Track bonuses, running +200% XP personal reserves, and getting some other x5 missions I've stocked up, I'm usually gaining 1-2 levels of Field Mod per tank every day!
I tend to focus on the Tier 6, 7, and 8 tanks but that's just my own quirk. If I finish them early enough, and am so inclined, I'll start grinding the field mods on the 9 and 10 also.
So if you don't have your field mods maxxed on the Polish heavy or French tracked light lines, you have until Oct 5 to attack those.
Starting October 5th I'll be grinding field mods on the Chinese HTs and the Italian MTs.
GLHF!
