SnapShot: I'm still here!

It's been a LOOOONG time since I've posted here. Just haven't felt motivated, if I'm honest. But I'm still playing pretty much every day. So here's a few thoughts from July 12th.

Don't Be That Guy - WotDad edition

Had a game on Ghost Town today in my AMX ELC 901. I was the only LT on the team and we were on the North spawn. I decided to start on the 2 line and see if I could spot some of the crossers, both on the open ground and in the town.

Our Super Hellcat went to the East and quickly started berating me for not going to the 9 line. Truth be told I had already turned and was starting to drive to the 9 line...but Super Hellcat was being such a jerk about it I decided to stay on the 2 line. For some reason Super Hellcat had decided he was the team commander and that he should be able to order people around. And he just got progressively ruder as the game went on.

Even my 3 year old knows if you ask like that you don't get what you want.

The lesson

It was totally reasonable for him to want me to come spot for him on the 9 line. It was the way he asked that lacked. If you want one of your teammates to do something for you try asking respectfully. If he had said "Hey, AMX, we could use some help over here. Can you come spot 9 line?" I probably would have gladly done it.

"Please" and "Thank You" are valuable in World of Tanks too, not just in life.

The outcome

It ultimately didn't matter too much. The game was a quick 5-15 loss (I had one of the kills) and we lost every flank and the town.

Unblocked Mountain Pass and...

I've had Mountain Pass blocked for a few months. It's just kinda a crappy map except maybe for heavily armored tanks. Everything is corridors and a close up brawl.

I decided I should give it a try again, and see if I could learn to play it better. But as soon as I unblocked it...I started to get that map about every 4 battles. After about a week of that I got fed up and blocked it again.

I wonder if I got it so often because so many other people have it blocked that MM has a hard time getting teams for battles on it.
