Been a while since my last post so I thought I'd do an Autoloader post with some various thoughts and observations:
The TVP really is that bad
Grinding assorted tank lines, and made it into the TVP VTU (Tier 8 Czech MT) a few week ago. Have to say, this thing really is as bad as people say. Mobility is meh, camo is bad, gun is ok, but a bit derpy, no real armor. There are a LOT of mediums at Tier 8, and I think the TVP is probably the worst of the very long list.
Thank goodness I used blueprints to mostly unlock the Skoda T50 a while back so I only had to play a dozen or so games in that junkbox.
One silver lining...
...to being quarantined at home. The player numbers are way up, NA server is seeing close to 30K players, and not just at prime hours. Even first thing in the morning there's often 13K-15K players, which is 50-75% more than usual.
Still unlocking tanks fast
In Tanking from the Firehose I mentioned that I was unlocking tanks faster than I could grind credits to buy them. That's continued! I've managed to buy most of the tanks I had unlocked back then (Object 140, STRV 103-B, T-10, etc) but since then I've unlocked the T54E1 and the 53TP.
Frontline was great for credit grinding...but now I've spent all those. :-)
So, back to spending my mornings in premiums running credit boosters.
Why do people...?
- ...push the A9 corner early on Karelia defense? Karelia defense can be a fairly easy win if you stay patient and remember that the other team has to push into you. You almost always have fire support on the A line if you just make the other team push around the corner into you. But if you round the corner your snipers on A line can't help you.
- ...hide in the K1 corner on Erlenberg assault (unless they're an arty)? Recently had an assault game where two of our TDs sat in K1 from 30 seconds into the battle. Unless the other team is stupid enough to push the 1 line you're not going to get any meaningful damage there.
Guido1212 teaches the Lowe
I need to do more to feature streamers who do a good job of teaching the game. This video by Guido1212 is a great example of him showing the strengths of the Lowe. Inspired me to want to get mine out of the garage and play it more.
Check out his channel and give him a like/subscribe if you enjoy this video too.
GLHF!
