A set of quick shots about World of Tanks...
Finished the Maus grind
Finished the Maus grind, like most of the On Tracks, in the first week. I already have every Tier 9 in the game at least unlocked (haven't bought them all yet), I have like 180 of the x5 missions in my depot, and I have at least 8 or 9 Blueprints on every Tier X now so when the On Track starts I generally just buy the Tier 9 on sale, play it for an hour or so a day and that usually gets me there in a few days.
In fact, I unlocked the Maus and needed to grind about 3 mil credits before I could afford to buy it. So lately there's a lot of credit grinding in premium tanks going on.
The Maus grind was ok, but not super fun. I'm just not a huge fan of slow tanks. At least they had good armor and a turret, I guess. The Mauschen routinely blocked 3K+ of damage for me, which was nice. Though the gun was kind of kaku - really unless I pressed 2 I had trouble reliably penning things. TONS of "crit no damage" shots.
Next?
So now I'm just waiting for the "October Preview" post to see what's On Track next month. If it's stuff I already have then I'll just be grinding credits in preparation for November On Tracks, or the next tech tree sale.
Battle Pass
Have been progressing up the Battle Pass, (now at 33) but not as fast as before. Haven't been as focused on it during the Maus grind. The only battle pass reward tank I don't have yet is the K-91-PT so I need to get 9 more tokens to get that tank.
Best Premium in World of Tanks?
People sometimes ask me what the best premium tank for grinding credits is in World of Tanks. My answer is:
The one you play the best in.
The one you play the best in.
No, seriously. Grinding credits is partly about the tank (repair costs, ammo costs, effectiveness in dealing damage) but it's also largely about how well you play. You get more credits in wins, you get more credits if you do damage, get assisting damage, etc. If you're hapless in you tank, do hardly any damage or assisting, and your teams struggle to win because you're not helping...then you won't make many credits.
On the other hand, if you're really effective, deal good damage, get kills, help your teams win...then you'll make bank.
