On Himmels this morning our E100 comes into the battle whining about being sick of the "skill gap" in World of Tanks. I assume he is running XVM and had noticed that the other team had about 8 green players, while we only had 4.
O.K., whatever. I've learned long ago that the colors don't guarantee anything. I've had plenty of battles where my group of cheerful lemons and apricots trounced a team of limes. Nothing you can do about it anyhow, so just play your best battle and see how it goes.
Near the end of the battle same E100 rants in chat about how "broken" the game is and that he's quitting. He's a 48% player, who has a 14% WR in his E100, so easy to see why he's frustrated I guess. How did he do in our battle in his shiny new tier 10?
He hit 5 out of 13 shots. Penned none of them, and at some point resorted to shooting HE at close range in his Tier X heavy - doing a grand total of 108 in damage. He also apparently managed to block only one shot in his heavily armored road-fortress; he got penned 7 times.
Perhaps the enemy was shooting gold at him? And maybe he's just not that comfortable in his E100 yet - he's only got 7 battles in it.
I only have 42 battles in my WZ-111 1-4 (I don't play heavies that often) and as you can see I finished tops in damage with just over 3.2K. Penned 7 of my 8 shots, blocked 4 of the 9 hits I received (even though I faced the enemy E100). We lost the battle, but I felt pretty good about how I played.
The point here is not that I'm a better World of Tanks player than he is. I might not be; I just had a better game. The point is that he came into the battle with a bad attitude, and kept his bad attitude throughout. It probably affected his gameplay. It might have affected some of our teammates - bad attitudes can be "contagious".
The point is, WoT is a game. Take a deep breath, try to have some fun. I have to remind myself of that fairly often; I've been known to get salty sometimes and that's something I'm not proud of and am actively trying to work on improving.
So let's don't be that guy.
