Frontline Episode 6 has begun and it's pretty much exactly like Episode 5 was, though they fixed the bug with the respawn timer.
I managed to get in just a single game this morning, was on attack and it went fine. I made Major and was ONE SHOT of damage away from General when the game ended. Ah well.
Couple random things from the battle:
O.K., that's true, however....two games where you only get to Lieutenant are not as good as one game where you make Major or General. In Frontline faster is usually NOT better. Cap, Farm, Farm, Farm.
That's how you get ranks, get rewards, and advance.
I was farming damage fairly well, but just ran out of time and the game ended with me literally one shot of damage away from General. If I'd just hit ONE of the shots I missed along the way. Ah well...

I managed to get in just a single game this morning, was on attack and it went fine. I made Major and was ONE SHOT of damage away from General when the game ended. Ah well.
Couple random things from the battle:
- Started off attacking on A. I was in the Cent 5/1 so I decided to play the hill on the East side. Our TS-5 was adamant that we needed to push the bad guys all the way off the hill, and he's not wrong but...when we got to the top of the hill we discovered a fairly significant enemy force up there including a Progetto, a Lorraine 40T, and a Somua. We killed their T-32 but they killed the two tanks that were with me. At that point the TS-5 insisted I push them...when I pointed out that there were too many of them for me to push alone, and they were all autoloaders, he said I should "get them while they're on reload." Except they get on reload after they put 11 shots into me. Didn't matter, we captured A fairly easily, maybe because the autoloaders on the hill were busy staring at me.
- We'd already captured B, so I pushed up on D. Got killed eventually, which was fine, and decided to take the CaenAX into C to help cap there. Unfortunately I played it poorly and was too aggressive when we didn't have ANY presence on the East ridge, and got killed somewhat quickly. We did cap C shortly after when teammates cleared out the East ridge.
Unclear on the Concept
After fast capping F we were on to the objectives (D and E got capped) and somebody on chat said "If you want to farm, play farming simulator!" This person is unclear on what Frontline is really about. Farming (and capping) is how you rank up. When I pointed that out, they said "If you win fast you can get into a second game sooner!"O.K., that's true, however....two games where you only get to Lieutenant are not as good as one game where you make Major or General. In Frontline faster is usually NOT better. Cap, Farm, Farm, Farm.
That's how you get ranks, get rewards, and advance.
