I'm way late with this, I know, but thought I'd share a summary of the large boxes this year.
As usual I picked up 300 of them, though I have to admit that for the first time I was wishing I only picked up 200. The reason is that by halfway through I already had all the tanks I wanted and the last 75-100 boxes were really just piling up credits and gold (and garage slots, and premium days...)TLDR - The summary
Out of the 300 boxes I got 54 tanks (there were only 10 different tanks, so lot of repeats), 193,750 gold, 17,800,000 credits and 186 days of premium time.
The only tank I didn't receive was the Vipera, which I already had going into the event. I'm not sure if that's why it never came up for me in 300 boxes but I didn't mind much.
Since I got a lot of duplicate tanks I also added 45 new empty garage slots.
Statistically I got a tank about every 5.56 boxes and averaged 646 gold (skewed up because of repeat tanks), 59,333 silver, and .62 days of Prem time per box. This compares pretty favorably to previous years - in 2021 I got 656 gold, 51,333 silver per box and averaged a tank every 6.98 boxes. So more tanks this year, more silver this year, and almost exactly the same about of gold.
The one decline was in premium time, which I don't mind because I have 927 days of premium time. I'll likely never run out of prem time.
Compared to the previous 4 years this was above average for gold/box (but only 3rd out of 5 years), above average for credits per box (tied with 2020 for 2nd place), and the lowest average premium time. It was by far the most frequent tank drops, though, and accordingly also the most frequent garage slot drops.
Tanks
I got all the new tanks, and overall I think they're a pretty good set. The M47 Iron Arnie fits my playstyle beautifully, and the BZ-176 is arguably a bit broken. I got the AMBT which I'd been disappointed to miss out on when it came into the game in an event last year, and the Char Mle 75 which I find fairly frustrating to play.
Resources?
Wargaming switched out "ornaments" for "resources" and it was a bit confusing to figure out how that worked so I didn't bother tracking it. As usual, though, it didn't take many boxes (maybe 50 or 75?) to get enough resources to reach Festive Level 10 and max out the rewards/missions I could do with just resources on day 1.
Conclusion
As always in my opinion the boxes are a really good value. I get enough gold to last the entire year, have way more prem time than I want, and restocked my credits after buying a LOT of equipment and consumables on sale.
Plus, of course, getting to add some pretty interesting tanks like the AMBT, Iron Arnie, and BZ-176.
An underappreciated bonus is getting the festive atmosphere and game bonuses maxed out from the first day, so that I can get the most of the credit and other Holiday Ops boosts during the event.
