Frontline: Takin' it Easy

I just finished off Episode 3 of Frontline. Like the first two episodes it was a relatively painless grind; took me 21 battles to finish it. I didn't do great, but I made Major or General 9 of the 21 games and Captain 10 times. I have an interesting observation though...

For 17 or 18 of those battles I took a methodical approach. I started with the T-44-100, played reasonably aggressively. Followed that with a specific set of tanks depending on the game situation. Progetto, Type 59, SkorpG, LT-432, etc. And in those battles I did ok.

But for 3 or 4 of those battles I took an entirely casual approach. Maybe I was just going to sneak in one more battle before bed and didn't really care that much. I played the Lorraine 40T, CaernAX, Bourrasque, M41 Ravioli...just whatever caught my eye at that moment. In the battle I was pretty casual too...I'd drive around, take shots, cap (or defend) if the opportunity was there, but I really wasn't trying hard by any stretch.

And in those 3 or 4 battles...

...I made Major every time.

Is it possible that all the focused try-harding doesn't really help that much? Or maybe it just doesn't matter that much which tanks you take out?

Or maybe it's just a game and we should have fun and things will probably work out fine.

Either way don't kill the turrets too soon. :-)
